Aadi, who is raised by his father's faithful employee, learns about how his parents were cheated and killed by Nagi Reddy. Enraged by the injustice done to his family, he decides to confront Nagi.

Veera Reddy (Ahuti Prasad), his wife and their child Aadi Keshava Reddy (Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr./Jr. NTR) return to their home estate in Rayalaseema from America. Veera had left his father's vast estate under the management of Siva Reddy (Rajan P Dev), but realized that he was corrupt and cruel to the villagers. Siva discovers that Veera is intent on distributing the estate among the villagers so they can provide for themselves. Since Siva doesn't wish to lose his lordship over them, he murders the family. Aadi escapes the massacre with Veeranna (Chalapati Rao), a trusted agent of Veera, and is raised as his own. Twelve years later, a grown Aadi is attending college where he meets and falls in love with Nandu (Keerthi Chawla). He returns home from his exile in Hyderabad and meets with several villagers, only to find out that they have been falsely imprisoned for years for the murder of his parents.

Gangwa lives a poor lifestyle in a village in India. He is in love with Gauri and both want to get married. Gauri's dad, an astrologer, approves of Gangwa, but predicts that they will never get married. They decide to stay together and the night of Poornima, come to the rescue of Naagraj, who is being mesmerized by a Tantrik, who wants to steal a Mani, which will absorb the moonlight, enabling him to make a concoction, and after drinking this, will become immortal and invincible. Furious by their interference, he turns Gauri to stone, and unable to withstand the shock, Gangwa passes away. 25 years later Gangwa is re-born as Krishna, and lives a poor lifestyle with his foster mother. She wants him to get married to Pinky, but Krishna wants to establish himself first. He finds a job with a mannequin maker, and with Naagraj's help, creates a near-lifelike mannequin of Gauri.

Shiva travels to the city to earn money for his sister Kusum's marriage. He meets Shakti and they become friends. When Kusum gets pregnant with Shakti's child, Shiva vows to murder him.

Sundari is young mother of two in a small village outside Madurai. She has joined a women's self help group and wants to use the microfinance loan she will get through it to start a business. Most people fail at their businesses and her husband is scornful of her ambitions - she has never been more than a housewife. As she struggles to find her feet in a trade, the village erupts into a flurry of politics with the coming of a woman from the city looking to start a garment factory in the area. This is a story of a village woman trying to define what success means to her in the context of an expanding world view, and of a family struggling to find their equation at the crossroads of what is and what could be. Shakti Pirakkudhu was evolved out of numerous conversations with self help group women in the villages around Madurai and is intended to create a role model that inspires the rural poor to look to the larger world to raise their aspirations and take charge of their own progress.
